![]() ![]() MIK is a beta version (Captain 5).they issued an update yesterday so I’ll see if it’s working better now. I’ve had issues with plugs by Mixed in key, AAS (guitar session) and Akai VIP. (I do feel another update will drop soonish considering the amount of bugs users bump into). I still enjoy using the QuickSampler but I'll go back to recording the audio on the regular time line and chop there until this 'bug' gets fixed. It would be nice to have an option to show the Quick Sampler audio files under project audio. The 'workarounds' here are to record to an audio track and then create a QuickSampler instrument from the region. In the bigger sampler there's an option to open the file in the Audio Editor. (If I import a 24-bit file *.wav it stays 24-bit and as *.wav though so it's not converted to 16-bit AIFF-C PUHH!).Īlso it's not possible to directly go to the 'Audio Editor' from the Quick Sampler in case there is a need to do some destructive editing, the optimize volume has has a limited range and sometimes there might be the need to properly normalize the sample. Turns out that the QuickSampler can only record in 16-bit when using the build-in recorder and it always uses the AIFF-C as the file format thus quick sampler does NOT respect the audio format settings set in the Logic preferences, like WTF?! Sometimes I get mad at myself because the 'bug hunter' surfaces. Oh, you’re talking midi tracks and sustain pedal? I thought you meant something else. Maybe there is a setting somewhere hidden but so far i failed. 3 tracks and play melody on the 4th and so on. Now if i try that Logic automatic stop the sustain if i change to another track. 2 tracks i could play a chord hold sustain and then switch to the next track, the first continue to sustain as long as i switch back and hit again sustain to turn it of. If it’s behavior in logic that changed, it might be something I never noticed or that doesn’t apply to my workflow. Are you referring to something like audio tails sustaining? I know in reaper that’s an option. ![]() I’m not exactly following your description, but it may be worth digging around the settings to see if that’s an option. Like sustain a track, switch to another and it still sustain the track, i used that often. So now i saw they seems to took some features out i loved. Logic ain’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination but on your Mac you should easily be able to run dozens and dozens of tracks Loaded with plugins without breaking sweat. ![]() Might be worth going into the plugin manager and disabling all the third party plugins then re-enabling them one by one. Even running loads of reason racks the cpu meters are all very low. I’ve never had to even think about how hungry a plugin is. Those live loops projects I’ve loaded into logic literally don’t make the cpu meters register anything. I’ve even run live loops I made on GarageBand on my iPad Air 2 that has dozens of audio loops and a handful of midi loops without problems. I have a similar spec MBP and I’ve not come close to hitting cpu limits. I do run audio at 48khz sample rate but it’s necessary to make the focusrite clarett and Behringer ADA 8000 work together quietly. ![]() Billie Elish loads and plays fine.Ībout plugins the only one I was using in my 4 track looping project was a logic multi sample instrument. Machine is a mid 2014 MacBook Pro 2.8ghz i7ġ6gb ram. ![]()
